Day one as tourists in Oxford proved to be exhausting. We walked around the city and around the hordes of tourists. We enjoyed the architecture and the cafes where we could rest. This area is a group of buildings designed by Christoper Wren and includes the famous Radcliffe Camera. Anyone know why they call it the Camera??

I know this one! Camera is Latin and shows up in a lot of legal jargon, as in 'in camera'. So it means a chamber, or in this case probably a vaulted space.
